1. Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how Caellum LLC (“Caellum”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, and protects personal data through our website at caellumlabs.com and in the course of providing our services. It is part of, and should be read with, our Terms of Service and Refund & Cancellation Policy.

Caellum LLC is the controller of the personal data described here. For any question about this Policy or your personal data, contact legal@caellumlabs.com.

2. Controller and processor

This Policy describes the personal data for which we are the controller — for example, data from website visitors and from people who contact us or engage our services. When we build or run software for a client and process personal data on that client’s behalf, the client is the controller and we act as a processor on their documented instructions; that processing is governed by our agreement with the client (see Terms, Section 11), not by this Policy.

3. What we collect

Information you give us

When you use our contact form, we collect your name, email address, the reason for contact, and your message. When you engage our services, we collect what we need to scope, deliver, and bill the work — for example your business and contact details and the materials you share with us.

Payment information

Payments are processed by Stripe. We receive limited payment metadata (such as a confirmation, the amount, and the email used) but not your full card number, which Stripe handles under its own terms and privacy policy.

Information collected automatically

Our host records standard server logs — such as IP address, browser type, and timestamps — to operate and secure the site. We do not use them to track you or to advertise.

On your device

We store a single theme preference (light or dark) in your browser’s local storage so the site remembers your choice. It is functional, stays on your device, and you can clear it at any time. See “Cookies and tracking” below.

4. How we use personal data

  • To respond to your inquiries and provide the Services.
  • To bill for the Services and keep accurate business records.
  • To operate, secure, maintain, and improve the website.
  • To comply with legal obligations and to enforce our terms.

5. Legal bases (EU/UK)

If you are in the EU/EEA or the UK, we rely on these legal bases under the GDPR: performance of a contract (to provide and bill the Services), your consent (for example, when you choose to contact us), our legitimate interests (to operate and secure the site and run our business), and legal obligation (for example, tax and accounting records). You may withdraw consent at any time, without affecting processing already carried out.

6. Cookies and tracking

The site sets no cookies, and we use no advertising or cross-site tracking. The only data stored on your device is the functional theme preference described above, which is not used to identify or track you. Because of this, no cookie-consent banner is required. If we ever use privacy-friendly, aggregate website measurement, it will not identify you or follow you across other sites, and we will update this Policy.

7. Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers that help us run Caellum, under contracts that require them to protect it:

  • Stripe — payment processing.
  • Resend — delivering the email your contact form generates.
  • Cloudflare — website hosting, content delivery, and security.
  • Google Workspace — our business email, where messages you send us are received and stored.

We may also disclose personal data if required by law, to protect our rights or safety, or in connection with a merger or sale of the business.

8. International transfers

Caellum is based in the United States, and our providers may process data in the United States or other countries. Where we transfer personal data from the EU/EEA, the UK, or Brazil, we rely on appropriate safeguards — such as our providers’ standard contractual clauses — to protect it.

9. How long we keep it

We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purposes above — to answer your inquiry, provide and bill the Services, and meet legal, tax, and accounting requirements — after which we delete or anonymize it.

10. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of these rights over your personal data: to access it, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to its processing, receive a portable copy, and withdraw consent. To exercise them, email legal@caellumlabs.com. We will respond as required by applicable law, and you will not be treated differently for exercising a right.

European Union / United Kingdom (GDPR)

You may also lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.

Brazil (LGPD)

Under the Brazilian General Data Protection Law (Lei Geral de Proteção de Dados, Law No. 13.709/2018), you have rights of access, correction, anonymization, portability, and deletion, and to information about how your data is shared. You may also contact the National Data Protection Authority (ANPD).

United States

Depending on your state, you may have rights to know, access, correct, and delete your personal data and to opt out of its sale or sharing. We do not sell or share personal data for cross-context behavioral advertising.

11. Children

Our website and services are intended for businesses and adults. They are not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

12. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal data, including HTTPS across the site, limited access, and reputable service providers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and to address any issue promptly.

13. Third-party links

Our website and our work may link to third-party sites and services we do not control. Their privacy practices are their own; we encourage you to review their policies.

14. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. The “Effective” and “Last updated” dates show the current version; material changes take effect when posted.
